Theme: “Constructive Growth”
Today’s gospel we find two kinds of criticism firstly the destructive criticism which is done by the people by not accepting neither John the Baptist nor Jesus and their messages.
The second is the constructive criticism which is done by Jesus towards the people for their personal growth. The people criticized both John the Baptist who was away from the world(people) and Jesus who is with the people(world). Sometimes we find similarities with these kind of people in our life too. We might have come across people who would find fault in whatever we do and hardly acknowledge the good that we have done. When we introspect ourselves there are also times, we have either favored our own or put down the other to resemble these destructive attitudes. Let us be aware of our attitudes and its effects and renew ourselves to grow constructively which would help everyone to make Christ be born in our hearts as we prepare for his coming.
